The “sh*t I’m late” student

Usually a commuter or someone who lives far off campus. Can be seen running from one side of campus to the other, anytime after 5 minutes past the hour.

 

The mature student

Usually seen following around lecturers, asking questions they didn't have time to ask in class. They have no time for the younger generation.

The “I haven't been home yet, is this even my college?” student

Seen wearing last night’s outfit, searching frantically for something familiar, squinting into the sunlight

 

The “ Library” student

Usually weighed down by books, not paying any attention to their surroundings, either because they like to keep ahead of the game, or they have an assignment due in the next two hours

 

The International student

Usually they travel in packs and speak so rapidly in their own language, your junior cert standard French will be of no help.

The Gym student

Usually seen carrying a protein shake, with dre beats around their neck, wearing some expensive looking trainers, telling anyone who will listen how much they can bench.

 

The Artsy student

Can be seen wearing flower patterns, holding a musical instrument, discussing the ending of Les Miserables in great detail.

 

The “What did I do last night” student

Usually seen in the back row of a lecture, with their hood up, maybe still in pyjamas, asking anyone around them why they bothered coming in for this.

The “First in class” student

You know the type. Never misses a lecture, always has all the notes, and always seems to be in the room before anyone else.

 

The “what room are we in” student

Usually wanders around campus looking for someone on their course to tell them where to go, can be seen in the student bar 10 minutes later, when they've given up.
