What the First Thing You Do When You Come Home From College Says About You...

Like they say, actions speak louder than words. What you do tells us who you truly are. It is our choices that show what we truly are, Harry... far more than our abilities.(I think that's all the paraphrasing I can think of...) Seriously, having lived with or by knowing each of these types of students I really do feel like your actions can tell you who you truly are.

1. Collapse on bed fully clothed and sleep.

You might not even make it to the bed. You're clearly doing too much work. You can't even muster the energy to take your bag off. Its not even that you've been going out lots, you're killing yourself with college work and study. You just spent hours in the library and you don't even have the energy to feed yourself, you've been running on coffee and energy bars all day. No wonder you crash as soon as your in the door.  You;re highly strung and aren't good at relaxing and having a good time. You're most likely the housemate who leaves passive aggressive notes everywhere at six in the morning, when your up and cleaning your housemates mess up, even though you know they'd do it when they got up. You just need an outlet for all your stress, you're seriously cranky. Have a biscuit and calm down, college is supposed to be a good time.

2. Drop bag, change into runners and go for a jog.

You are like a puppy with way too much energy. Your working day is over and now its time to work your bod, be it at the gym or just around the block. You are happier and more energetic than your college counterparts. You don't bring your college work home unless you have a big assignment due soon. You're the most sociable one in your friend group and always up for a night out and a good time. You're involved with loads of societies and clubs and always have something on. You breed envy wherever you go because more likely than not, you're also totally gorgeous. Not always the best student though. But you're academic averages pale in comparison to your winning social life.

3. Make dinner.

I mean like from scratch. You do this so much that your friends refer to you as the chef of the group. You love food and probably spent the last half hour in the library looking up recipes you can make with the limited supply you have at home. You love the challenge and enjoy anything that isn't college work. You need a break and cooking brings that to you. You don't even care that you'll have clean up to do - but more often than not you choose one pot dishes because you're a student and its a weekday chances are you're going to be going out tonight. You tend to procrastinate any and all college work but mask that with doing other things, like baking brownies for your housemates. You're still being productive. You binge watch shows on Netflix and wouldn't know how to exercise if you wanted to, which you don't because of the effort. Assignments and deadlines scare you, but you've made enough snacks that you are the master of all-nighters.

4. Pop a cap off a beer.

You need to relax and unwind from that stress fueled hell car that was your college day. You leave your bag untouched for the night, you can't even begin to think about making yourself dinner. You call up your friends, you're going out tonight and someone is ordering pizza. You can worry about college tomorrow. You're a bit of a waster and not happy in your course - your professor is a douche or the assignment is too confusing. You're more interested in distracted yourself from that then trying to make it easier for yourself. You;re kind of moody and angry and lash out, probably because you're the first one drunk because you started drinking first.

5. Take off pants (and bra for ladies).

Although jeans and bras are attractive and flattering, and supportive, they are so uncomfortable. Nothing can compare to the feeling of freedom and release you get once you unclasp that bra hook or unbutton those jeans. You throw on pajamas and slippers, time for noodles and tea and quick check on Facebook, or catch up on a show. After which out come the books. You're well adjusted to the college life, you've mastered the balance of work and play. You don't go out every night but when you do you're the life of the party. You aren't as peppy as the jogger or as distracted as the chef, you're the perfect all round college student. You don't take on more than you can handle and you're so much happier for it. Your friends don't know how you're doing so well. But they can't be jealous because you are so helpful and happy.
