Carb-Overload & Napping: Weird Stuff That is Part Of Every College Student's Experience

College years are the best years and the weirdest years of your life. Some of the things that every college student does can be seen to be weird from an outsiders perspective. And when you think about it, the college life doesn't always make sense at all. Doesn't change the fact that its an experience that everyone should get to go through!

All-Nighters.

We all go through them. Anyone who successfully goes through college without going through at least one all-nighter is way to productive to be here. That person should be running a country someone instead, they clearly have the determination to do whatever they like.

Carb-Overload.

Fresh fruit and vegetables are expensive, noodles and pizza are cheap and quick. All we need to get through the day are carbs for energy. We'll survive, with or without scurvy.

Drinking Games.

A rite of passage at every house party. Kings: loser drinks a mixture of everyone else's drinks, plus there's always an argument over the rules; beer pong: loser drinks beer that a dirty ping pong has just been thrown into; never have I ever: you get to see where everyone else is at sexually without openly asking. Plus theirs always a few that want to make up a new drinking game, always good fun, that night. Not so much the next day.

Spending sh!t ton of money on books.

Which you will never use, you might not be able to return and are super heavy to carry around. Not worth it.

Spending sh!t ton of money on accommodation.

Either to become roommates with a total stranger and co-habit a crappy college dorm that costs a sick amount of money. Not to mention the awkwardness of being kicked out of your room in the middle of the night so your roommate can have sex. Or maybe you are paying rent for an alright enough place with your friends, when you can't have a full-time job because of class.

Spending sh!t ton of money on fees.

Thousands of money for a course that lasts maybe 15 hours a week. For a lecture that you might have been able to teach yourself about on YouTube or Wikipedia.

Reverting back to childhood.

Plain food, comfy clothes and napping. How could you survive without it having naps?! And sweatpants are basically socially acceptable pajamas for the outdoors, basically the uniform of college students.

Caffeine-Overload.

Not being able to function on less than four cups of coffee and/or cans of red bull. We'd be fucked if the toilet broke. The caffeine keeps things moving, which we need with the carb filled diet.

Making decisions that will affect the Rest of your life.

Well, potentially but you're only a teenager, how do you know if you want to be an accountant for the rest of your life? Why are you even allowed to get loans from banks at this age? Who needs to be in debt at 18 years old? You can barely decide what t-shirt you're going to wear in the morning, how are going to decide your career?

Party Crashing.

Going to random people's houses and drinking the cheapest beer you could get a hold of until four in the morning. By the end of the night, you'll probably know everyone through all the drinking games anyway.

Getting graded on whether or not you showed up.

Attendance mark? Ten per cent towards your grade? Yes, please. If you just submit the rest of the assignments it will all add up to a passing mark even if you don't write good.

Having all your favourite people within walking distance of you.

Best years of your life!
