You're Not You When You're Hungry... How To Tame Your Inner Gremlin

Let's keep it real here for a second... If you're like me (tall, dark and handsome), you'll recognise the feeling you get when you can't escape your constant inner gremlin. You know, the one that makes your stomach rumble and has you thinking about food, from the moment you wake up til your eyes finally close at night? I like to call it 'The Hunger' and I know I'm not the only one...

But how do you destroy your inner Gremlin, before it completely takes over?

A Snickers

The main reason those pesky tummy gremlins come knocking is cravings. Sometimes, it gets so bad you just 'can't even', but you don't want to be that guy - nobody does - so it's time to grab a quick snack. A Snickers should sort you out.

A Glass of Water

Ok, let's hope water doesn't have the same effect on Gremlins as it does in the movies, otherwise you'll be in a spot of bother. However, it has been said that drinking water can trick your stomach into thinking it's full... But sometimes water isn't enough, sometimes you need something a bit warmer...

A Cup Of Tea

Now I'm not sure if tea does the same thing when it comes to Gremlin management as water... in fact, you better hope not. But what could be better than a nice cup of tea before bed? Some would argue nothing, but let's be realistic here for a second: Wouldn't you prefer...

A Sandwich

I say this because it's very hard to get a sandwich wrong. On the other hand, we are college students - anything could happen. My weapon of choice is simple, but effective: The Ham & Cheese Toastie. This king among sandwiches prevails in any situation - even if you're a simpleton in the kitchen, anyone can pull it off.

Watch A Movie

I'm going to suggest a classic, like Gremlins. Those gross little creatures will definitely put you off your food... who in their right mind is going to be hungry after watching those little creeps for 2 hours?!

Hit The Gym

It might not be a proven way to stave off "The Hunger" but it'll definitely make you feel better. Also, when have you not been hungry after the gym?

Beware the Hungry Gremlin inside you. Take these steps and you should be safe!
