Us guys aren't that complicated. We have simple want and needs. In fact, the best way to please a guy is to make things as uncomplicated and easy as possible. With that in mind, we've layed out these 10 things guys want in a girlfriend to make it perfectly clear what dudes are after. These are the factors he considers before taking the plunge that is committment.
1) No game playing
If he wants to play games he'd break out the Connect 4 (what a game, am I right?). If he notices a lot of mind games going on in the early stages he isn't gonna commit to relationship, it's like sensing you're about to walk into a trap.
2) He doesn't want to know everything
We talked before about how a guy doesn't want to know a girl's history with other guys and it's true. Sure, we'll probably need to the know the names and faces of the big ex-boyfriends, but we really don't need to know the details or numbers of sexual encounters. It's just not something we want to dwell on, and we will dwell on them.
3) Affection in public

Obviously, I'm not referring to full-on PDA here. We're not Italian after all. This is just about being comfortable about showing a bit of non-drunken affection to the person you care about. It shows a degree of security and comfortability that's always attractive.
4) Be a laugh
If you find you're constantly laughing with them, you're golden. A keeper has to be fun. If the laughs are few and far between, this isn't going to go anywhere. Unless you're both insufferably boring bastards, of course.
5) Don't be argumentative or judgmental
Related to the last point, being argumentative is tantamount to being an anti-laugh. Relationships are about enhancing both your lives, if you're dragging the other person down eventually they're gonna tell you to fuck right off.

6) Give a realistic preparation time
You know what really grinds a guy's gears? That half an hour in girl time equates to about 4 hours in real time. Just tell us honestly how long it will take and we will manage our time accordingly... by which I mean calculate how many bottles we can drink in the interim.
7) Compliments
It's one of those things that most guys wouldn't admit wanting, but everyone loves a good compliment.
8) The bedroom
This wouldn't be College Times if we didn't make an obligatory reference to sex. Obviously this one goes both ways, but men will always wanna hold onto a wildcat in the sack. Especially one who actually enquires into the dude's preferences.

9) Give him a break
Do not make him feel as if he's on a leash. He needs to feel like hang with his mates when he wants to, without fearing some sort of backlash. This is important in order to...

In the immortal words of the Spice Girls, "If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends." It's as true today as it was then. If you can impress his friends they'll remind him that he's a lucky guy, reinforcing the relationship. However if you don't get on with his mates they will undermine the whole thing by constantly giving out about you. The boyfriend may become alienated from his friends, rarely meeting them to avoid their naysaying of the coupling, but this only buys the relationship a bit more time because the guy can't go without his friends forever. If the friends give you the thumbs up though, your union is truly blessed.
