Meredith and Derek were the heart and soul of Grey's Anatomy. You can take your Christina and Burke's, or your Izzie and Alex's. None of them have endured the way MerDer did. But last week one of the most harrowing deaths in television history put an end to television's number one couple. (Obvious spoiler alert ahead.) So we're here to console all of you traumatised viewers with a look at their finest moments as a couple.
1) When it all began with some post-one night stand, work flirting.
2) When she had to admit that she loved McDreamy. (Who didn't?!)
3) When Derek decided to stay with Addison but admitted he had fallen for Meredith.
4) When they were STILL broken up but just couldn't deny their chemistry.
5) When Meredith put her heart on the line and told Derek how she really felt.
6) And asked him to pick her.
7) When she built him his dream house with candles.
8) When they survived pretty much anything.
