The 13 Stages Of Getting Hooked On A TV Show

There's nothing quite like becoming hooked to a new show on Netflix. You're filled with mixed emotions every time you start a new episode, and every time you finish a show, you SWEAR it will never happen again. But we all know it always does. Here are the inevitable stages we all go through when we become obsessed with a show:

1) The "What Should I Watch?" Stage

You're over your last obsession and need something to fill the gap. What do do you do next? Go scrolling through Netflix until you find something you might like.

2) The "Oh, I've heard of this" Stage

It's that show that everyone kept going on about two months ago. Ah sure, I'll give it a go.

3) The "Ugh I don't know if I'll like this" Stage

I'm not sure if I'm feeling this. Bit too much fantasy for me. It's not really my style...

You've watched so many episodes in the space of a week that you are now up to date with everybody else and spend your days avoiding any spoilers.

10) The "This show has ruined my life" Stage

You have turned into a useless pile of shit ever since you started watching this and you can do nothing else. FML.

The time has come.... my death is near... I'm not prepared for this.

12) The "HOLY SHIT THAT WAS AMAZING" Stage

THAT GENUINELY WAS THE BEST PROGRAMME I'VE EVER WATCHED WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO NOW.

13) The "So.... what do I watch next?" Stage

However your grief does not last long and now you're back to square one, to repeat the cycle again. Fucking Netflix and it's fucking great shows.
