Not the most likely of friendships, but once you give it a minute of thought, the two seem meant to be. Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer are basically the same person, from their crass humour to their lack of anything resembling a filter.
Last week, Schumer instagrammed a picture of her jet skiing with JLaw and the internet briefly lost it's mind. Personally, I was picturing about twenty different buddy comedy scenarios that should immediately be pitched to movie execs.
Schumer appeared on The Daily Show last night and explained how this incredible duo came to be:
“Once a year, I go away with all my girlfriends from high school,” Schumer told host Jon Stewart. The Trainwreck star said this year’s trip was in the Hamptons, and that she called Lawrence to see if she wanted to be a part of the fun. “I was like, ‘Oh, we’re going on a boat tomorrow. You should come.’ It was kind of a hypothetical,” Schumer recalled. “And she was like, ‘I think I’m coming.’”

They even made a person pyramid together, giving us all major squad goals. Even though Schumer is a bombshell in her on right, she said: “It’s my picture next to Jennifer Lawrence. It’s the last person you want to be next too. […] In all the pictures, I look like her coach.”
We can only hope the two are now coming up with a film to star in and subsequently actually end the internet.
