6 Reasons Why You Don't Need The New iPhone 6

So it's that time of year again, where all the appleheads drool over the new iPhone, this time around it's the sixth iteration, the cleverly named iPhone 6. A lot will be said about the specs and the design, but beyond that they're reasons why you just don't need it. So if you are thinking of forking over another €699 for basically the same phone, then you should read this. Here are the reason that you don't need the iPhone 6.

6) The battery life still sucks

Now that the iPhone 6 has a bigger screen and sharper display and a much faster processor than before, the battery, although bigger, has roughly the  same battery life as the iPhone 5. It lasts for around 10 hours, but they said it will last longer if you keep it on standby. It has been one of the biggest complaints with iPhones for quite some time and it seems that they still haven't fixed it. So if you think that you will be able to surf the net for longer you would be wrong... And don't get me started on the charger, you're still going to have to go through 5 or 6 of them a week!

5) It's incredibly overpriced

Once again Apple have outdone themselves when it comes to price, and if you're living in Europe it comes in at a whopping €699. I'm not even going to begin to tell you the amount of stuff you can buy with that kind of money. Somehow they still get away with charging ridiculous prices for their phones because they know people will buy them. You could get 2 or 3 normal smartphones for that kind of price.

4) It has curves

As a person on the outside  of the iPhone madness, the thing that I actually liked about the iPhone was its sleek and slim design. Now all of a sudden they have decided that the thing needs curves. If you're like me then you will think that the new curved frame is just an excuse to make it look a little bit different to the last one...

3) It's too big

Now, apparently all the appleheads were crying out for a bigger screen, but I thought the whole point of the iPhone was that is was the perfect size, not too big not too small. It looks like competition has forced Apple to change the size and it's  now 5.5 inches (male average just in case you're wondering) ,  which is not as big as some of Sony's model but still a considerable amount. If you want the phone to be much bigger you should just get an iPad, which I'm sure you already have...

2) Apple Pay

It's seen as this new easy way to pay for things on the go and it could possibly replace your wallet. The difference about a wallet is that you have control over your money and you don't have to give any information away. Apple Pay will need your banking details for it to work and personally I would rather be in control of my own money rather than Apple having the possibility of fucking it all up

1) There are still much better phones out there

The smartphone landscape has changed a lot in recent years and there are now more options than ever. Gone are the days where the iPhone was far ahead of everyone else, there are other great options out there and many that trump the new iPhone. Brands like Sony, LG, Samsung and Motorola all pose a great threat to Apple's smartphone dominance.
