Irish Mammy Leaves Her Son Hilarious List Of Things Not To Do On His Leaving Cert Holiday
It's that time of the year when Leaving Cert students are celebrating their transition from teenager to full-blown adolescent. Of course, to pass the test of adolescence, they must first undergo the transformative experience of the Leaving Cert holiday.
The Leaving Cert allows you to make the mistakes you'll definitely make in later life. The likelihood of getting a third-degree sunburn ("it'll turn to tan"), spending your entire travel fund on Penneys bits, experiencing your first rollover and falling in love with a rep is 100% possible.
Before one LC student decided to pack up his belongings and visit the sacred destination of Santa Ponsa, his Mam left him a list of rules to follow and, of course, left it in his suitcase:
So my mam actually wrote a list of rules out for me in ponsa and put it in my suitcase... pic.twitter.com/91Hvyr953b

Mick from Gorey shared the note on his Twitter and his followers related to a couple of his Mams points. In fairness, her list is pretty solid:
- Avoid balconies completely
- walk away from fights
- be careful of crossing the road when you're drunk
- late night swims result in drowning - don't do it
- Stay away from dodgy tattoo parlours with dirty needles. Don't ruin your body by getting a tattoo.
- Stick with your friends
- Look out for everyone
- Use condoms **
- Have respect for yourself & others
