In Tweets: Leaving Cert Students Panic Over Results Day
With the Leaving Cert Results due tomorrow, it's only natural that for one last time this year's class who've graduated from secondary school will have a massive freak out over the Leaving Cert. A frenzy of panic over a three digit number that will, thankfully, ultimately decide far less than they think it will, and make no difference to where they might end up in life.
We've all been there, staring at the sheet of paper that marks the culmination of all the late nights studying; sitting in uncomfortable chairs for three hours straight; writing out copious amounts of flashcards; powering through hand-cramps in order to save our future, and drinking far too much berocca for our own good.
Leaving Cert students from all over the country will rock up to their secondary school for the last time tomorrow morning, to receive an envelope that will determine where they will end up studying come September. It's the day we've all been looking forward to, and in a year's time we'll all forget about it, but for now, let's enjoy the Tweets the Leaving Cert has to offer one last time.

Tomorrow is Leaving Cert results which means all day today we get to hear RTÉ presenters who had the right connections tell us how getting 240 points didn't impact upon their life.

I genuinely prefer to park my face on the motorway and have a line of cars run over me than have to open my leaving cert results and see the pure, unfiltered disappointment on my parents' face when they realise how much of an utter failure their child is

“Are you nervous for results day?”
No Carmel :) I’m absolutely perfectly fine about the fact that my future and happiness largely depends on what’s inside that envelope in a few days :) like honestly it’s fantastic I’m feeling brilliant about it! :)))))))))) can’t wait :DDDDD!!

Results day is like a really fucked up Christmas Day. You wake up excited to see if you got your present of points, or scared to see if its a huge fucking bag of regret and repeats...#leavingcert #examresults2018 #examresults

Along with all this negativity, some past and present leaving cert students have a more broad perspective about the whole thing and have given a more light-hearted take on results day, offering some support and advice to their fellow Leaving Certinians.
Guys who’s getting their leaving cert results this week!! If you know someone just be like so proud of you no matter what

Dear Class of 2018,
No matter the outcome on Wednesday you will all be the same person you once were.
You will live your best live.
A three digit number will never ever define you.
Most importantly everything happens for a reason and it'll all work out!#leavingcertresults— College Memes (@CollegeMemes101) August 13, 2018
Can’t believe this time last year I was waiting on my leaving cert results worrying so much because I didn’t do anything for my exams and now here I am doing the course I love anyway so to anyone worrying don’t because if you really want something there are ways to get it!

Shoutout to all the 6th years stressing over results, where you go to college/what you do in college does not matter what matters is your happiness, the leaving cert does not define you and this time next year will have zero influence over your life. You be you ??

No matter what happens, forget about the results and just look forward to the annual carnage that is the Leaving Cert results night out. Enjoy and good luck!
