The Average Rent In Every College Area In Ireland Makes Worrying Reading

A report has just come out explaining just how feckin' ridiculous renting prices in Ireland are getting at the moment. The average rent nationwide is at an all-time high at €1131 per month. Daft.ie have just released an interesting and worrying report all to do with renting in Ireland.

To make the whole thing more relevant we've included the average rent prices for university and college towns all over Ireland. This is handy for new college students so they've an idea what to expect in the coming years.

Understandably, rent in the capital and in the cities is going to be significantly higher than in more rural areas. Bear in mind, this is just an average and can also go down if you share the house with other people.

Overall, rent has increased in pretty much every county, with rent now a whopping 10% higher than its 2008 peak. Although college accommodation always tends to be on the cheaper side of things, it's important to know that living in Ireland in the future may be rough enough for graduating students.
