5 Ways Charlie Bird Stole Our Hearts On Last Night's Cutting Edge

If you haven't seen last night's Cutting Edge, go and watch it now. It was full of absolute juice and featured Brenda Power comparing tattoos to alcohol and drug addiction – seriously.
Of course, a huge talking point on Twitter was Stefanie Preissner's facial expressions, which are endless entertainment in itself.. The show touched on issues such as revenge porn, the poor level of sex education in Ireland, the gay marriage referendum, tattoo addiction and mental health amongst young people.
However, there was one shining light who we can't can't fail to mention, and that person is Charlie Bird. He was literally a breath of fresh air among the panellists and completely stole our hearts. Here's an ode to the man himself, you do you Charlie.
1. He highlighted the lack of debate about mental health in Ireland
There was a huge debate in the Dáíl over drink driving, but there's still a lack of debate around mental health in its entirety.
Charlie bird nailed it tonight, huge debate in the dail today on drink driving, never that level of debate in mental health #CuttingEdge

3. He encouraged us more than most Mam's would
He gave an amazing speech explaining you don't have to go to a rich, advantaged school to make something of yourself.
Well said Charlie Bird on @CuttingEdgeRTE. Education is the great liberator.
