Fans Flipping Out Over One Particular Episode Of The New 'Black Mirror'
Fans of Charlie Brooker's dystopian series Black Mirror were given a treat when the entire fourth season premiered on Netflix yesterday.
It didn't take long for the thousands of binge watchers to tear through the six stand alone episodes. After watching the season in its entirety, viewers took to Twitter to give their thoughts on Brookers' latest effort.
It was clear from the Tweets that one episode in particular stood above the other five and perhaps is up there with the best episodes of the science fiction series.
Hang The DJ is the fourth episode of the new series and stars Georgina Campbell as well as Peaky Blinders actor Joe Cole. The episode's synopsis is as follows: A new dating app hits the scene, but insists that singles need to meet before 12 hours.
Fans of the show were quick to praise the episode, and it's fair to say it elicited a very emotional response from those who watched it:

#HangtheDJ was so cute, I love when #BlackMirror does slightly less depressing episodes. Still a mind fuck, but a happy mind fuck. #BlackMirror4
Haven’t finished season 4 of @blackmirror, but so far #USSCallister and #HangtheDJ are up there as some of my favorite episodes of the series!

A lot of viewers couldn't keep their eyes from watering:
What kinda modern Romeo and Juliet type bullshit. 38 minutes in and I’m properly invested! Crying and shit. #HangTheDJ #BlackMirror

Judging by these references Hang The Dj is in very good company:
#HangTheDJ's ending is like Defending Your Life meets The Truman Show meets Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind AND MY HEART IS BURSTING. #BlackMirror4
