One Of First Dates Most Disastrous Daters Is Returning To Our Screens
T'is the season to be jolly - First Dates Season.
It's that time of year again where we all cosy up in front of our screens to watch RTÉ2's First Dates and laugh at the daters pathetically trying and impress each other, presuming that we'd do much better when in actual fact we're sitting at home, alone, eating our fifth take-away of the week, laughing at those finding love.
Anyway, I'm not sure if you remember this guy but he's quite popular on Irish screens. He's known for being an ill-mannered man, and for featuring on Talifornia, Ireland's answer to Geordie Shore.
Phil Penny first came to our attention during the years the reality show was filmed, between 2011 to 2013. You can tell straight away that he's a ballsy fella who probably doesn't really understand social cues when it comes to dating, but rather speaks to women as if they're inanimate objects.
That analogy is completely correct, seeing as he proved it to us the last time he was on First Dates, which was last year.
He made a few mistakes by asking inappropriate questions, looking for details and how his date digests their food, pointing out features that look 'fake', and expecting her to take that as a compliment and then presuming he had a second date in the bag after showing himself to be a dirt-bag.

Well, it looks like RTÉ are giving him a second chance to find love this year. They confirmed the appearance with this video, with a simple caption, "He's back.."
It'll be nice to see if he has learned any manners since his last date..
