Watch: Vocal Coach Tries To Teach An Irish Accent, Fails Miserably
The Irish accent is something proven to be quite tricky for non-Irish people to master. We've seen our fair share of dodgy attempts onscreen in the past. Sean Connery has been a big culprit in the past, and Tom Cruise giving it a go in Far and Away was just plain hilarious
Enter Madeleine Harvey. By looking at her YouTube channel she seems to be a singing coach by trade, so you can understand branching out into other vocal techniques. Americans all seem to hear an Irish accent different to us; we're all actually "Oirish"
While you can applaud Madeleine for her effort, she's just way off here. It sounds like her only exposure to Irish people were the likes of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt's in Snatch (Brad's is alright in fairness)
It's worth watching all 8 or so minutes of this. Her pronunciations of flower and sour, (or 'flare' and sayer' as she puts it) are particularly comical. It did the rounds on Twitter this morning.
Ah here, lads, turns out we’ve been doing the Irish accent arseways pic.twitter.com/MJzCrSVWNv

I'm most annoyed that she thinks we pronounce H's
