Love Island's Biggest Questions Answered
Have you ever wondered why the Islanders never eat? Or if any of them smoke? Do they wash their own clothes? Do they cook? Have they any sense of the outside world at all?? Well, during the week a tweet that included the most delicate secrets of the villa went viral and answered everything we ever asked about life inside the Love Island house.
From clothes and make up to smoking and alcohol limits, this list has everything you might want to know about how the Islanders survive the grueling life that comes with being a Love Island contestant.
Beauty:
Clothing is provided by Missguided, which is a fantastic deal for everybody. The Islanders get their pick from fully stocked and stylish wardrobes, and Missguided get their bikinis paraded around the villa on TV for us all to see and want.
Hairdressers are on call for hair emergencies. This explains how Eyal keeps his curls so tight.
Make up is provided by Rimmel, and the girls (and boys) have an unlimited amount to use to their heart's content.
Tanning oil is banned from the island, thank God! The islanders are still free to use fake tan as much as they feel is necessary, but the use of tanning oil is completely banned.
Household Rules:
Smoking on camera is banned, and if Islanders wish to smoke they have to go to a smoking area at the front of the house. Only one person can go for a smoke at a time and Islanders are given 20 cigarettes a day. After complaints flooded in last year about the amount of on camera smoking, rules were changed and now Islanders are no longer allowed to smoke on air. From looking at their Instagram accounts, it seems the only smokers inside the villa are Laura, Jack and Eyal.
There is no limit to the amount of alcohol the Islanders can consume according to the producers, but they monitor their consumption closely.
Mobile Phones are only used to take pictures, text other Islanders, and receive texts from the show.
Every Islander to enter the house under-goes an STI check, no exceptions.
Villa Upkeep:
Each contestant gives up a weekly shopping list, which gets delivered to the house. Meals get delivered to the house everyday, during which the Islanders get their mic batteries changed, which explains why we never see them eat dinner.
Washing is put into laundry baskets, cleaned, and brought back two days later.
Cleaners visit the Island every day. They clean up the house, and when the Islanders get ready for their evening, the cleaners clean up outside by wiping down the chairs, and putting everything into place. Bed sheets are changed once a week.
Extra Info:
There are no clocks, watches, etc in the villa, so they have no idea what time it is. They must have mastered the art of a sun dial by now.
Not all contestants apply to the show. Many of them are scouted on Instagram, or asked to join the villa if one of their ex's are on the inside and the producers want to stir the pot, which is rumoured to happen very soon.
Compared to shows like Big Brother, these guys have it extremely easy and relaxed. Hope this helped solve all your Love Island conspiracies! Tune in tonight to find out what happens with Megan and Wes, and if the Islanders welcome a new housemate.
