UL Student And Irish Rapper Creates 'Bean Garda' Tracksuit And It's Glorious
Last February, we published an article when we first heard the whisperings of Irish rapper that created a Garda Tracksuit. The tracksuit has been designed by Limerick rapper, and UL student, MXSE, as part of the promotion for his new EP entitled 'Throwing Shade'. He aimed to create a recognisable outfit he could perform in and his inspiration was Garda cars. The result was truly majestic.
Great news, the Garda tracksuit doesn't end there. MXSE, real name, Mason Roche has now expanded the fashion line with the addition of a navy uniform and a new 'Bean Garda' fashion ensemble.
Check out some of the 'his and hers' matching Garda tracksuits from MXSE's Instagram page.
The Irish rapper and spoken word artist released his Debut EP ‘Throwing Shade’ on March 16th. His now-signature look of the 'Garda tracksuit’ has gained much notoriety. The Garda Síochána themselves are aware of the tracksuit and were so kind as to let MXSE do a photoshoot in front of one of there squad cars at Henry Street Garda Station.
Speaking to Joe.ie, MXSE was asked about his plans for the stylish yet practical tracksuits
It's not for sale, at the moment, it's just a prototype. But there's been such a positive reaction to it that I'm thinking of mass producing it. I made it to promote the release of my new EP in March and wanted to use two things that don't really combine, Gardaí and tracksuits."
