A Quiet Place Sequel Plot Details And Release Date Revealed
A Quiet Place was one of the most amazing cinematic experiences in recent memory. The nature of the film dragged you in. As an audience, you were afraid to make noise, be it crunching popcorn or rustling sweet papers. You almost felt like that if you made noise, you would blow the cover of the Abbott family.
There is a certain amount of trepidation around the sequel, as fans will not want the legacy of such a fantastic film tarnished. Think back to The Woman In Black (the one with Dan Radcliffe); a brilliant standalone horror. A sequel was made a year or two afterwards, no one remembers it, because it was basically unrelated, and it was just shite.
A Quiet Place has quite a major stamp of approval, however. Cillian Murphy has gotten involved, and the Peaky Blinders star is very selective about the roles he takes.
In an interview with Observer, his fellow cast member on A Quiet Place 2, Brian Tyree Henry, discussed a few key ideas that will be explored in the sequel.
I’m still trying to find that out, but I really think that what we’ll do is we’ll see more of that family continuing to survive and finding out that they’re not the only ones, And I think that we’re also going to get a few answers to the origin of where and how this whole thing happened. I think that people want to know that. But I think you’re just going to see another side of it…more of humanity that survived this thing in this next story.
The first film had a very memorable opening scene, seeing one of the children getting taken by a creature. No explanation, we were just thrown in at the deep end. We didn't learn how this apocalypse came about, so there's massive potential to expand on that particular aspect of the story.
As for the rest of the cast, Emily Blunt is returning and she'll be joined by the film's original young stars, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe.
A Quiet Place 2 is set for release on 20 March, 2020. Hopefully, it will be called A Quieter Place
