Stop All The Clocks! Andie MacDowell To Appear In Four Weddings And A Funeral TV Reboot
If you were feeling slightly anxious this Thursday morning, as if your world were somehow incomplete, then oh sweet, salty Jesus have you come to the right place. The news that you were waiting for, without knowing it, was to hear that Andie MacDowell has confimed that she will appear in the television remake of Four Weddings And A Funeral.
Television streaming service Hulu has taken it upon itself to create a reboot of, perhaps the most popular films from the '90s to feature two or more Catholic rites of passage in its title. The new series is set to air in 2019 and will be produced by Mindy Kaling, comedy extraordinaire most recognisible for her work with the US Office and The Mindy Project.
While Andie MacDowell will not, due unfortunately to the passage of time, reprise her role she is set to appear as Mrs. Howard, the mother of Ainsley, one of the film's four leads. Ainsley, will be played by Rebecca Rittenhouse with the other three main characters, Maya, Craig and Duffy to be played by Nathalie Emmanuel, Brandon Mychal Smith and John Reynolds respectively.
While her involvement seems to be, at present, the only link between the cast and production team of the original 1994 film and this new incarnation, with Mindy Kaling behind it, it certainly seems as if it is in safe hands.
