The Latest Trailer For Peaky Blinders Drops Some Big Hints
The hype is really starting to ramp up for the new season of Peaky Blinders. A trailer released by BBC First yesterday has whetted our appetite further for the return of the Shelbys to our television screens.
The latest promo for the popular series hints at a lot of twists and turns with the fate of Alfie Solomons, played by Tom Hardy, one of the talking points of the trailer:
Series three ended with the Shelbys being arrested after a failed jewel heist and it will be interesting to see what direction show runner Steven Wright will take the Blinders in the fourth season of the drama.
Speaking to The Sun, Knight has plans to take the story well into the 1920s:
I hope it does run and run all the way up to the Second World War, but it does get harder to get the cast together as the actors are being pulled into feature films. It's a victim of its own success.
He also elaborated on the inclusion of Oscar winning actor Adrien Brody for the series, explaining to the Metro:
Adrien plays the threat to the family and possibly the biggest they'll face. [He] is a sort of, in the face of danger it's like pressing the nuclear button - you get him to help. Let me put it that way. We have been very fortunate to get two really legendary actors.
Star of the show Cillian Murphy spoke to ODE, declaring that he thinks the latest season 'will be the best it has been' and that people 'will be in for a lot of surprises. Here's hoping.
There is still no official release date for the BBC drama.
