Missed Out On Tickets? No Worries, Westlife Gig Will Be Streamed Live
If you missed out on tickets to Westlife's comeback tour in Croke Park, then don't worry you still have a chance to see the show live. The sold out Saturday 6th July Westlife gig is coming to cinemas across the UK and Ireland.
The sold out shows and reactions to new music show the fondness for the four lads is stronger than ever. After a six-year hiatus, Ireland's favourite four-piece boyband announced their return with new music and an Ireland and UK tour, including two nights in Croke Park. It's been 20 years since the Irish 5 piece boyband at the time (remember Brian McFadden) burst on the music scene with the hit debut single 'Swear It Again'. The band went to selling 55 million records worldwide.
Initially, the plan for the comeback tour included one night in Croke Park. Tickets for this show sold out in six minutes. Just to put this into context, Croke Park has a capacity of 82,300 and The Rolling Stones struggled to sell out the venue. Yet, an Irish four piece band sold out the venue in a record breaking six minutes, it's quite the achievement. Following this success, Westlife added a second show which was also a sell-out.
Talking about their success and the new development of screening the show to cinemas, the lads had the following to say:
We have been overwhelmed with the incredible reaction to the tour and we're so happy that our fans will now have the chance to enjoy the show in cinemas across the world
Croke Park has always been a special place for us and we can't wait to be back there. It's going to be a phenomenal night!
Here's a little taste of what you can expect with their new video Better Man which was co-written with Ed Sheran.
