Critics Tweet Declaring Wonder Woman As One Of The Truly Great Superhero Movies
The DC Universe hasn't had the best luck when it comes to their superhero movies. Critics panned last summers Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice so fans will be relieved to hear there's a decent movie on the horizon in the form of Wonder Woman. The film is the only female-led superhero movie ever.
Wonder Woman centers on Diana, a princess of the Amazons, who is trained to be a warrior on a remote island. An American pilot crash-lands onto the island and tells the islanders about a war that will doom the planet. Diana leaves the island to help mankind fight the threat.
Now critics are referring the new Wonder Woman franchise as similar to the Dark Knight series, the most critically acclaimed of all superhero movies. The Dark Knight saw Heath Ledger winning a Best Supporting Actor for his role as The Joker. Many fans of the series weren't happy with model and actress, Gal Godot, playing the fictional superhero but critics insist that she owns the role and is one of the best things about the film.
Here are some of the reactions to the new DC Universe film over on Twitter:
Very pleased to report that #WonderWoman is the best DC movie since THE DARK KNIGHT. I'm already looking forward to seeing it again.

WONDER WOMAN: Easily my favorite DCEU film. Has the humor and heart the franchise so desperately needs. Gadot and Pine are charming as hell.
