12 Sh*tty Things Blondes Are Sick Of Hearing

Being a blonde woman in today's society is not easy. We are perceived as being many things but intelligent and worldly, are not among them. I understand that being blonde will always come with a label of being a Barbie Bimbo, but to be honest, on behalf of the many blonde women out there who are concerned with more pressing matters than our backcombing brush, I am saying that we are more than fed up of listening to the same bored stereotypes being thrown at us again and again. Here are the most common blonde related things, that blondes are sick of hearing.

1) "Blondes have more fun."

There is many a blonde out there, who wouldn't know fun if it came up and high fived them into the face. Likewise, many brunettes and red heads are the most fun people you will ever meet. Anyway, what the fuck is "more fun" nowadays? Pushing over people who say this, perhaps.

2) "So this blonde walks into a bar..."

Does she really? Wow. Amazing. I'm sure that very few blondes have walked into bars, therefore this must mean I'll know the blonde in question, on a personal level. That must be why you're telling me this shit story in the first place.

3 "What a blonde moment."

A blonde moment is classified as one lacking in intelligence. Well, to be honest, anyone who says shit like this must be lacking in some brain cells, hair colour aside. It's a given fact that we will all, at some point throughout the course of our lives, do something fairly stupid but when a blonde person does something stupid then it's jammed under the phrase "blonde moment" and laughed off. Except we ain't laughing.

4) "Blondes are easier."

This is the one that really gets my back up. There is, in my humble opinion, no higher insult than calling a lady easy. Especially when she is not. Men think they can pretty much jump on anything with legs, double standards much? The only thing about this whole scenario that's easy, is how easy it is for people to throw this false assumption around.

5) "Blondes are less intelligent."

Less intelligent than what? A genius? A monkey? I am not saying this purely for the sake of this articl,  but genuinely, some of the most intelligent women that I know are blonde. In fact, the smartest girl in my entire year was blonde and proud. So take your false facts and correct them please.

6) "Natural blondes are very rare."

In Ethiopia perhaps. There are very many natural blondes, aside from the clearly bleached heads that you can spot a mile away.  Most blondes are naturally quite light haired and we just tend to enhance it a little. Sure why shouldn't we?

7) "Blondes are far less naturally pretty."

Well that's just a bit rude now, isn't it? Almost as rude as calling us stupid, in fact. Am I correct in assuming that anyone who flings this statement about the place, has seen every blonde they know without make up and compared them to bare faced brunettes/ red heads? Doubtful on all accounts I reckon.

8) "Blondes love male attention."

Really? REALLY? If you have read any of the previous statements, then you'll be somewhat more aware of the fact that this, for the most part, is a load of utter shit. Yes, on a night out and done up to the nines, a bit of male attention is what some girls of any hair colour want, but when we're out for a run or whatever, being jeered at by passing assholes is humiliating and just plain rude.

9) "Blondes are just good for a fling, brunettes are for the more serious relationship."

Many men see blondes as being an object upon which they can jeer and fantasize and our brunette sisters are there for being loved and married and respected and all of that other stuff. Again, total rubbish.

10) "Blondes are weaker and just want to be taken care of."

I know a fair few blondes that could determine the truth to that statement. I can safely say that the only thing I want to take care of me is my bed. As for the male population, you can trot along now thanks.

11) "Were you actually a blonde child though?"

This is a tricky one for me, as I was an ever so slightly, ginger child. So I don't really count. Most blonde children however, turn out to be some sort of blonde adults. Yes, a child's white blonde hair is likely to darken over time, but that's where highlights come into play. We're just playing with what God gave us.

12) "Blondes are concerned with nothing more than their appearance."

This can be said of a minuscule few, from all the colours of the hair spectrum. There will always be people who care about nothing in life, except how they appear, physically. We can thank Geordie Shore and numerous other mind numbing shows, for letting people think that the key to success, is being a professional bimbo.
