7 Hidden Facebook Features

Turns out the old Facebook machine has a few surprises and little features not everyone knows about. Even the savviest of FB users might not have known that you can change your profile so that it (sort of) appears upside down, or that you have an 'other' messages folder?

Here are the cool Facebook hacks you've been missing out on

Interest Lists

To create your own interest list, go to https://www.facebook.com/bookmarks/interests and click the 'Add Interests' button, from here you can add all your favourite pages, but unfortunately not your favourite profiles to creep on, facebook says no!

Friendship History

Look back at all the Facebook interactions you've had with a particular friend by going to their profile page, clicking in the arrow in the top right corner and selecting 'See Friendship' from the dropdown menu. Really interesting to see how embarrassing you are / were.

'Other' Messages

The main Messages folder contains messages from your friends and their friends. All other messages will go into an 'Other' folder where you can look at them separately. Lucky you, you could have hundreds of emails from hassim faoakir.

Turn Your Profile Upside Down

This one is cool / utterly useless idea. Just click on the arrow at the top right of any Facebook page and change 'language' to 'English (Upside Down)' and voila... Your FB page is utterly illegible. Good job.

Download All Your Data

Click the arrow at the top right of any Facebook page and choose Settings. At the bottom of the General Account Settings in an option to "Download a copy of your Facebook data"... A word of warning, if this gets into the wrong hands you are screwed / everyone will find out how much of a creep you are.

Check Your Activity Log

You can get to your activity log by clicking the arrow at the top right of any Facebook page and choosing Settings, followed by 'Privacy'. Next to 'Who can see my stuff?' click 'Use Activity Log'. Warning this has been known to cause cringe induced heart attacks...

Send A Message From Your Own Email Account

Simply send a message from your email account to the persons Facebook email, usually their username followed by @facebook.com. Your emails will be formatted to look like Facebook messages, including your name, your profile picture and your message which is sorta cool but in reality completely useless.
