How Ed Sheeran Is Helping Gingers Get The Ride, Study Reveals
The study commissioned by online betting company Casumo surveyed 175 red-haired-men in the UK and found that 1 in 5 men there are getting more action since Ed Sheeran’s rise to fame. A spokesperson for Casumo.com said:
It’s unsurprising that red heads are attracting more attention now than in previous years. Donning fiery red locks are popular among both male and female celebs with stars like Emma Stone and Isla Fisher leading the way for red-headed women. Ed Sheeran has shown how his appearance has no effect on his talent and more people are embracing their natural colour. It seems that when it comes to gingers, the brighter the better.
The study, carried out by OnePoll.com also surveyed 1000 women about their thoughts on copper hair. Other conclusions from the study include:
- When women were asked for their opinions on ginger men, over a third agreed that there is now a more positive perception around red hair since Ed Sheeran arrived on the scene.
- One in twenty females confirmed that they even prefer red-heads over other hair colours, with auburn being the top choice, closely followed by strawberry blonde locks.
- One-quarter of copper-tops agree the public has a more positive outlook on red heads since Ed Sheeran began to gain popularity.
- One in five gingers that took part in the poll are told they look like the chart-topping singer, with over a third of 18 to 24-year-olds reporting cases of mistaken identity.
So there you have it, ginger is in. Who'd have thunk it? Pass me the red hair dye.
