New Dating App Lets Your Friends Choose Your Date
No, we're not talking about your friend taking your phone and swiping left and right a couple of times...
The new app is called Hinge Matchmaker which will allow your friends to see if you're on Hinge, the main dating app from the company, and give recommendations for potential matches to your mates.

Speaking to Tech Crunch, the founder of the app Justin Mc Leod knows friends playing matchmaker isn't that uncommon:
“We found a lot of people who felt like they missed out on the dating app craze wanted to be able to participate in some way...A lot of times, people will pull out their friend’s phone and swipe for them on other apps.”
It's probably one of the best drinking games around. Anyway, the founder wants people to really connect and get to know each other. I mean, it saves all the awkwardness of having to meet your new friends man or woman considering you matched them up.
How does it work?
The app works by suggesting matches through the matchmaker's pools of Facebook friends who have to be using the main app Hinge, complicated stuff altogether. The matchmaker can then recommend the two people "connect" and can send an icebreaker question - "will you meet me mate?". You can lock your friends profile and flick through potential matches.
How do I get people to join?
You can invite friends from your phonebook, the one on your phone, not the actual Golden Pages, to join the app. Couples can also join in to find you a potential date - Bridget Jones eat your heart out. The matchmaking feature is sure to add a bit of spice to the online dating world, a lucky dip of possibilities you could say.
We know having your Tinder info tied to Facebook was stressful enough and Hinge has taken this into consideration. You can opt out of the app so you're not shown on matchmaker. Although the app is only #64 in the Lifestyle category on the App Store, Hinge is hoping to move away from Tinder and Bumble and become an app for people to find "real relationships".
Twitter isn't crazy about the Hinge app though:
Basically it's a cross between @bumble_app and @Uber with a code of conduct and a feedback rating system...

I don’t have bumble. I pretty much gave up after Hinge got real creepy by matching you w/developers for “feedback”
