Love Yourself: Tips To Boost Your Body Confidence
1) Think Positive, Be Positive
It’s almost like we’re pre-conditioned to have a negative body image of ourselves, we constantly see images of ‘perfect’ celebrities and models, and it’s hard not to compare ourselves to them. But the truth is that even these celebs aren’t that perfect! These pictures have been photoshopped and edited so much to create the illusion of perfection. So think positively about your body, nobody is perfect!
2) Embrace Your Uniqueness
There is only one you in the whole history of the universe, ever. Embrace your freckles and your curly hair, stand out from the crowd and love your own image! Recently the catwalks craved models with pale and freckely skin! WERK IT!
3) Get A Bikini Body
Buy a bikini, put it on. Congratulations you have a bikini body.
4) Thigh Gaps Aren’t All That
The recent social media craze was when girls decided to lust over having a gap between their legs when standing up straight. Well, excuse me, but I don’t have a gap and neither do mermaids. So I guess that means I’m one step closer to being a mermaid. Who’s the real winner here?
5) Flat Stomach VS Pizza, Chocolate and Candy
To be honest, I don’t want to sacrifice all of the things I love in life just to have a flat stomach. If eating carbs is wrong, then I don’t want to be right!
6) Tune Out The Media
As I’ve said before, these images are not real! It’s fine to read these magazines and to think that these fairytale ladies look great, and they do. But they’re not real. Really try to remember that before you compare yourself to these fictional creatures.
7) Stop Worrying What People Think About You
As author David Foster Wallace once said ‘You’ll worry less of what people think of you when you realise how seldom they do.‘ Basically, don’t fret over what people think about you, chances are they’re also too hung up on themselves to notice anything wrong with you.
