Why Women MUST Stop Objectifying Men
Like all progressive people, I am all about equality... so it's only natural that I'm a militant masculinist. For decades men have been put down by The Woman. Just look at these instances of sexism and you'll soon see why women must stop objectifying men. Men, prepare yourselves...
Media
It seems those pesky objectifiers are media moguls and you can't open a magazine and look at your news feed without seeing some celebrity sunbathing with their moobs hanging out for the world to see. That's right, men completely topless. Nips out and everything. Where's the censorship? Is this the message we want to send to our impressionable youth, that it's okay to ogle pecs?
Smut Cinema
Fifty Shades of Grey has just been released and Magic Mike XXL will hit cinemas in a matter of months. Why is it okay for this pornography (admittedly soft porn, but still) to appear in mainstream cinema? You can't complain about being objectified and then go enjoy the objectification of others; that's called having your cake and eating it too, people.
Chippendales
Strippers are the prime example of the male's objectification of women, but wait, women do it too! And when women do it, they usually go to massive sell-out Chippendale shows, where they openly grope male strippers on stage. When men do it, they go quietly to dark clubs, keep their hands to themselves, and hope to God nobody saw them enter. Smutty bastards.
Take Me Out
If you're unfamiliar with the concept it goes like this: one man is brought before 30 critical women, who will proceed to immediately judge them based on appearance, before he makes an argument for why he's a good catch, then finally performs for them like a dancing monkey. Hmm, I wonder how this show would fair if they reversed the genders? Not good, I imagine.
Paying For Shit
When the whole gender debate first broke out, all that was wanted was equality, for both genders to be on an even keel. Except when it comes to paying for shit. Guys can still do that. An argument has been made that this is because men still get paid more than women, which is true in a totally generalised way, but that argument doesn't really work when you're in a relationship with someone with a wage that's on par with you. And what if the guy makes less money than her, does she buy the meal? Can't people just split things, you know, equally?
Sexual Harassment In New York
A few months back, a feminist on the streets of New York blew our minds by proving that hot girls get hit on a lot. Who knew?! However, a few days later this experiment was repeated by a guy with the exact same results. Now I'm not saying that some extreme feminists are willfully oblivious to double standards and that they're utter hypocrites... oh wait, I guess I am.
