7 Signs You're Experiencing A Quarter-Life Crisis
Hit your mid-twenties? There's no denying that it's a foggy period of uncertainty. Stuck in a job you hate but scared of leaving? Torn between pursuing career goals and backpacking around Australia? Haven't a clue what you're doing with your life in general? Congratulations! You're in the midst of a quarter-life crisis.
According to a recent study by Linkedin, 75% of young professionals have experienced a quarter-life crisis. The social network surveyed thousands of 25-33 years olds and discovered that 27 is the age you'll most likely have one.
Fear not though, most twenty-somethings have heard that inner-voice scream, 'Get a move on god-dammit!' at some stage. Here are 7 signs you're having a quarter-life crisis.
1. You're worried you'll never find a job you love
You've flitted in and out of jobs since you left college but you're still no closer to finding the 'one'. Does it even exist?
You're not exactly sure what your passion is but you're pretty sure it's not photocopying hundreds of pages every day and putting your best listening face on during meetings, praying no one asks you a question. The thought of still being in the same job in five years time is enough to make you to break out in a cold sweat.
2. Travelling is constantly on the brain
Feel like your problems will disappear if you just give Ireland a bit of a rest? Been there.
Have I done enough travelling? Should I quit my job and feck off somewhere like a younger version of your one in Eat, Love, Pray? Or should I focus on my career* and settle down?

3. Compare yourself to others
You know who I'm talking about. The ones who look like they have their shit together. *Whispers* The grown ups.
They're up to date with current affairs, don't eat cereal for dinner and only have a few drinks when they're out because they 'have things to do the next day,' that most likely involve doing an exercise of some sort or trying to get on the property ladder.
4. You freak about where you're going in life
WHAT AM I DOING? WHERE AM I GOING? I'M STUCK HERE FOREVER.
Standard.
5. You've resigned yourself to the fact that you're going to be living at home for the rest of your days
Or in a drain. The thoughts of getting on the property ladder seems so far off into the future that you might start looking to save a deposit around 2080.
6. You feel stuck in a rut
You know you want to do something but you're not quite sure what.
Is it too late to join the army?
7. Dying alone, surrounded by cats has become a very real possibility
And you don't even like cats!
It literally feels like the rest of the human race is settling down and you're drifting from one relationship disaster to the next. But look it, least you don't have someone hogging the bed and you get to choose what you watch on Netflix.
