Smile And Nod: 12 Things Constant Daydreamer's Know To Be True
Being someone with their head in the clouds is a struggle. You don't mean to zone out and miss most of your day, but it happens. Leaving the house is a danger because you forget your phone, your keys, and then you nearly get hit by a bus while crossing the road. If you're a dreamer you know that all this shit is true.
1) You miss out on a good half of most conversations.
"- woah, shit. What are we talking about?"
2) You use the 'smile and nod' technique way too much.
"Haha, yeah, what did they say? Just smile."
3) You miss your stop on the bus on a regular basis.
Great! The long walk to work again.
4) You forget everything when you're leaving your house.
"Okay, keys, phone, bag, purse. Good."
5) You never know what the assignment is because your lecturer didn't write it down and you obviously weren't paying attention.
"Can I get the assignment off you, pllleeease?"
6) The moment when you snap out of it and have a panic of "where am I?!" is far too common.
"Woah! Shit, that was scary."
7) "Wait, we have a test?" is regularly uttered by you.
"I really gotta start paying attention."
8) You miss key points in movies.
"I thought he died. Did he not die?" Shit, I obviously missed something major.
9) You can do nothing for hours.
You're the queen of just lying around and doing abso-fucking-lutely nothing.
10) You come back to reality and realise you've been staring at someone.
"Oh shit. Oh fuck! Look away, look away."
11) People think you're stupid.
You're actually highly intelligent, bitches. You just zone out a lot, that's all.
12) You don't realise you're smiling and talking mid dream.
"Oh dear Jesus."
