Lucian Bute v Jean Pascal – Sunday am

Saturday night sees the biggest bout in Canadian boxing history when Lucian Bute meets Jean Pascal . The bookies make Pascal favourite but I think this hometown derby between 2 former world champions is a 50/50 fight. The winner is very likely to get a rematch with Carl Froch and at the current prices it has to be Bute for me. If he does win it is hard to see him knocking out Pascal so we’ll go with him to win on points @ 9/4

Mike Perez v Carlos Takam – Sunday am

The Cork based Cuban is looking to make it 21 from 21 on the Bute/Pascal card on Saturday night as he faces French man Carlos Takam. Takam is on an 11 fight winning streak but Perez is a different class to what he’s faced before and the 10/11 on Perez by KO is the bet of the night for me

Norwich v Hull – 15:00 Saturday

Chris Hughton has a habit of getting his side to win these must win games but I think his luck will run out tomorrow and I fancy Hull buoyed by their new signings to take all 3 points at Carrow Road. Momentum is a big thing in sport and Norwich’s 4-0 defeat to Fulham in the cup won’t have done their confidence any good.

San Fran @ Seattle Seahawks - Sunday 23:30

Talk that Seattle have peaked too soon will prove unfounded  in Washington on Sunday. The Seahawks are a force at home and home advantage is worth at least 3 points here. That and the fact that Seattle are the better team makes the -3.5 on offer a cracking bet for me. To the Superbowl!!!
