Things Your Lecturers Hate Hearing
Here at the times we spend endless hours concocting the thoughts of students into articles such as this one. However this is one with a bit of a twist. It's not about you guys. It's about those entrusted with your education, the one's you all blame when the sh1t hits the fan....regardless of how much blame they actually deserve. Here are the many things lecturers hate hearing.
During revision classes....
"sure you may as well not have thought the syllabus"
"Did you print off the power point slides?"
While explaining something using an analogy..
"I'm sorry but what exactly does that have to do with what we are currently studying?"
You've told that story before.
Oh have I now? So Einstein, do you reckon I may be trying to drive a point home?
"Can you explain the Harvard referencing system again?"
Really? Really? Did you attend the first day of college? Did you sit through the presentation? No. Well then Google it you moron.
Feminists trying to weave feminism into everything.
"I'm sorry Jean but this is quantum physics, there is no place for your hatred of men here"
"Our other lecturers don't make us do it this way"
Well why don't you go marry them so
Will that be on the exam?
It might be, it might not be. It definitely won't be if you ask me again.
You're paid enough for what you do.
For what, putting up with little shits like you? Hardly
You get way too many holidays.
They're well deserved, reward for putting up with little shits like you.
Why is my grade a 2.1, why isn't it a 1st
Because dear student, you answered the question correctly but didn't provide anything new to the argument or any critical evaluation of the works you used as references.
You only lecture because you're incarcerated in Academia and can't deal with the outside world.
"You lost my assignment"
Oh did I now. And I suppose it was my fault you forgot to submit it to turnitin, blackboard or moodle before the deadline as well was it. I didn't lose it, you never handed it up because you never completed it, you cheeky git.
Students who don't attend lectures,
then ask questions about something that's been covered a thousand times in class.
