How To Make No-Guilt Skinny Chocolate Cake
If chocolate cake isn't your favourite type of cake, you can leave. Seriously though, chocolate cake is amazing but not really that good for you, obviously. So we've done the hard work and found a skinny chocolate cake recipe that won't make you feel super guilty the next day.
Ingredients
- 1 cup white flour
- 6 tbsp cacao or unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup xylitol or other sweetener or sugar
- 1/4 cup vegan yogurt
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Method
- Preheat oven to 175 degrees, and grease pan. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt and sweetener, and stir well.
- In a new bowl, whisk together the butter, yogurt, water and vanilla then pour into the greased pan.
- Bake 25 minutes or until batter has risen and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
Let your cake sit for at least a couple of hours before having a slice. Delish.
