A Dublin University Is Organising A 'Bunny-Cuddling' Day To Help Students With Exam Stress

It's the perfect antidote after a morning in the library!

The stress of Christmas exams is taking its toll on everyone but UCD SU has figured out a cuddly stress buster to ease your anxiety.

The SU previously introduced 'Bunny Cuddling' and it was such a success they decided to bring it back today. The fluffy rabbits will be hanging out in the Quad Room at the Old Student Centre at 2pm today.

On a post on Facebook, the SU ask students to arrive in plenty of time to meet the fluffy hand-reared rabbits.

UCD isn't the only college in Ireland that's using animals as stress-busting therapy. TCD regularly give students 'canine therapy' during stressful exam periods. TCD students are given 15 minutes to hang out with the dogs.  If you can't avail of either of these animal therapy sessions then hit up cat café in Smithfield.

Studies have proven that contact with animals decreases stress and we well believe it. Petting or playing with an animal can increase the levels of the stress-reducing hormone oxytocin and decreases the production of the stress hormone cortisol. Other studies suggest having pets makes you live longer.
