The Leaving Cert Student Twitter Reaction To French
For many Irish students, French can be a tricky subject. The Leaving Cert French Oral and listening exams are notorious for being a challenge but the French paper is known for being fairly unpredictable.
The French honours paper usually includes the formal letter, writing an email and the reading comprehension (Compréhension écrite). Much like the honours paper, the ordinary paper has four reading comprehensions and two written pieces.
There was some relief from students who felt the exam was "beautiful". Some students dropped down to Ordinary level, but pretty much everyone was challenged by the Brexit topic thrown into the mix.
Here's what all the students had to say about French on Twitter:
I had a course for 550pts on my CAO. I was obviously very optimistic back in February ?? #LeavingCert #LeavingCert2017
