This New Research About The Irish Memmeh Is Genuinely Spot On
One4All have done some research into Irish mammies and it's ridiculously accurate. The research was carried out amongst 1,385 people with people from across all four provinces. Some of the terminology for Mammy changes geographically with Munster Mother’s most likely to be called ‘Mam’, while Leinster, Connacht and Ulster’s Mothers most commonly called ‘Mum’. Here are some of the findings from the research about Irish mammies:
8/10 Mums would describe themselves as an ‘Irish Mammy’ #ownit
The majority preferred to call their Mum, well, ‘Mum’ #queen
Boys are 20% more likely to be a ‘Mammy’s Boy’ than girls are to be a ‘Mammy’s Girl #whatever
22% said needless fussing is the atypical trait of Irish Mammies
Miriam O'Callaghan is Ireland’s favourite Irish Mammy
‘Do you think I’m made of money?!’ is their fave sentence
Yes momma! We love you x
