One Person Dead And 10 Injured After Van Drives Into London Mosque Crowd

One person has been confirmed dead and 10 others injured after a van drove into a group of pedestrians outside a Mosque at Finsbury Park, north London.

At the moment the incident is being treated as a "potential terrorist attack," with a 48-year-old man being detained by police.

The attack happened at around 12.15am after worshippers were leaving the mosque following prayers. A policeman has described the attack as "an attack on London and all Londoners." According to Abdulrahman Saleh Aloud, an eye-witness, the driver said: "kill me, kill me, I want to kill all Muslims".

Theresa May, as well as Jeremy Corbyn, have both expressed their thoughts over the incident. May has made a statement saying,

"I will chair an emergency meeting later this morning. All my thoughts are with the victims, their families and the emergency services on the scene".
