New Speed Limits Will Be Introduced In Dublin From Midnight Tomorrow

A new speed limit in urban and housing areas of Dublin will be enforced as 30 km/h from midnight on Tuesday, May 30. Residential areas such as Sandymount, Crumlin, Dimnagh, Raheny, Artane, Donaghmede, Drumcondra, Phibsborough will be impacted.

Dublin City Council insists the 30km/hr speed limit zones will not affect the arterial roads in and out of the city. New signage and a Slow Zone will be implemented in housing estates and residential areas to help with the reduction of speeding.

Dublin City Council introduced the changes to 30 km/h in March 2016. A detailed map from Dublin City Council reveals areas of the city centre that have already been reduced to 30 km/h. Visit the DCC website here for more information about the changes.
