Here's How Small Your Hand Luggage Needs To Be To Avoid Ryanair's New Charges
The popular airline carrier has upset its users by changing the conditions on its carry on baggage. Until recently, the airline allowed flyers a fairly reasonable sized carry-on luggage but have decided to swap for a much 'handier' size.
Cross check ✈️??
From Monday, Ryanair will charge €5/£5 e/w for any carry-on bag bigger than this (basically a hand bag).

From next Monday, January 15th, Ryanair will charge travelers a fee to carry on bags bigger than the dimensions 35 x 20 x 20 cm. If a Ryanair customer tries to bring on baggage larger than the dimensions given they will be charged €5.
Twitter users have been reacting to the news with alternative tips for travelers looking to avoid the charges:
That's an A4 envelope? I mean 20 cm thick, obvs, but still, flat?
Jesus. You'd nearly hide that up your jumper

ok i understand.. but you're not forced to fly ryanair either. and maybe this wouldn't have happened if people followed the carry on baggage guidelines in the first place.

If this was truly to "speed up boarding", I can give you 4 things to do that will get planes wheels up way way faster than this option. Cutting hand baggage allowance just added benefit of you being able to make up for all the claims you had to pay out following last September.

Another bullshit way to force passengers pay more for the basics.
Last several Ryanair flights I've been on saw bags put in the hold despite ample room in the overheads.

Well done @Ryanair putting a stop to the morons who totally took the piss by bringing two huge bags on board.

About to board a @Ryanair flight, and there quite a few people being caught with larger bags, Ryanair is about to make a lot of people unhappy ? #naughty
