Grab The Hot Water Bottle, The Weather's About To Get Frosty
Thrung on the kettle and dig out the hot water bottle and knock on the electric blanket, things are about to get frosty.
Today will be very fresh with temperatures ranging between 7 to 9 degrees with 'mostly moderate west to northwest winds'.
Tonight is going to get particularly cold with temperatures dipping as low as -2 degrees. A widespread frost is being forecast on the back of those temperatures.
According to Met Éireann Friday will 'start dry apart from isolated showers in west Ulster. The best of brighter and sunnier weather will be over eastern parts of the country, with cloudy periods prevailing further west. Patchy rain or drizzle will develop in the west and southwest towards evening. Cool with afternoon highs of 7 to 10 degrees in light to moderate west to southwest breezes'.
Friday night will also be quite chilly though not as bad as Thursday with temperatures of between 6 and 2 degrees expected. It looks like winter is officially here.
