This Young Irish Lad Is A Contender For 'Top 10 Outstanding Young Persons Of The World 2017'
A young Irish lad is flying the flag for all of us. 18-year-old Harry McCann has a weighty list of achievements that puts the rest of us to shame.
The young Irish lad who hails from Kildare, is one of twenty finalists in the JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World of 2017 (yes, we said WORLD), a program that honours ten outstanding young people under the age of 40 each year.
How has Harry made his mark?
Not gonna lie, we're a little bit in awe of him. At just 15, Harry set up his first business, Kid Tech, aimed at teaching young people technology.
Since then, his accomplishments grew bigger and bigger - he has designed unique coding courses and thought 800 kids to code around Ireland.
His talent and hard work clearly hasn't gone unnoticed with big names on board to back him including Blackberry, entrepreneur Norah Casey and British Actor Stephen Fry. The Top Ten Outstanding Young Persons:

The young lad is also Director of the first Digital Youth Council in the World - which he himself founded. In his role, he works with Governments and industry leaders to ensure young people are involved in influencing the future of the STEM sector both in Ireland and Europe.
In his website, Harry writes:
My aim is very simple - Write a future I am proud to be the author of.
The future is shaping up to be looking pretty rosy for you Harry and we're all right behind you. Voting closes for Harry today - you can show your support here.
