Twitter Is Not Impressed With Zoella's €65 Christmas Calendar
Twitter is not impressed with the Youtube stars Boots Christmas gift box and it's not difficult to see why. The gift box is part of the Zoella Lifestyle range and is retailing for €65 in Ireland with fans and users noting how little you get for your buck.
The All You Need is Xmas calendar contains twelve 'treats' which include a bauble, confetti, a small purse, a pen, a candle, two cookie cutters, a notepad, a key ring, a room spray, and stickers. The influencer earns over half a million a year on Zoella branded products.
Youtubers such as Jack Mate unboxed the gift box and gave viewers a rundown of what kind of products you can find inside:

Can you believe the actual nerve of that Zoella trying to sell a 12 day advent calendar filled with shite like a cookie cutter, star shaped confetti and stickers to her 10 year old fans for £50

.
A lot of Twitter users felt that the Zoella brand was taking advantage of young and impressionable fans as the influencers biggest following is young women:
Just looked up this Zoella advent calendar stuff and it is just plain and simple manipulation of impressionable, young followers to spend a ridiculous amount of money. Not impressed. pic.twitter.com/PDFN8MGSFN

No doubt scamella aka @Zoella will either totally ignore the fact that £50 calendar is a piece of shit or she will put up a YouTube video of her crying saying she spent to much time and effort creating it ?

On the 12th day of Christmas, Zoella sold to me:
12 bits of confetti
7 shitty stickers
2 bendy cookie cutters
A tatty furry bauble
A 5 PENCE KEY RING
A tiny bottle of spray
A pad and a pen
A couple of nasty candlesAND A PURSE TO PUT ALL OF THE SHITE IN

zoella’s £50 advent calendar that is only 12 days long is just further proof she is a tory

some working class families are probably busting their asses right now trying to afford that £50 Zoella advent calendar and I don't know how she can live with that knowing it's worth about a fiver

Others couldn't help but drag up old tweets from the Youtube star when they thought of her reaction:
I find it so funny how zoella has managed to rebrand herself as some kind of sweet, unproblematic saint pic.twitter.com/aiMpGIe7ER

If anybody is wondering why Zoella’s advent calendar is £50....
It’s designer your tramps. That there in your hand is a rose gold pen! pic.twitter.com/mgVGn38oHQ

Users decided to come up with their alternative Christmas gift box and whack the Zoella price tag on it:
If Zoella can do it, then why can't I? All this for advent, only £50!
1. broken eyebrow wand
2. dry wipe
3. empty Vaseline tin
4. cotton
5. empty bottle
6. used bobble
7. fidget spinner
8. lifeless batteries
9. plaster
10. LOL necklace
11. pen lid
12. lense less glasses pic.twitter.com/VpawREcAPA— kat ? (@ChokingOnMyHalo) November 14, 2017
Zoella is a perfect example of people deliberately using their platforms for nothing other than to give themselves a bigger pay cheque every month. £50 for a poorly designed 12 day cheap advent calendar is an insult to anyone who has ever supported her

Other retailers were quick to point out that their much better value for money this Christmas:

After seeing the reaction online Zoella explained that she was involved in the creative process and not the pricing and that she was also disappointed in the overall pricing. Click to 33:02 to see the full explanation:
