These Are The Six McDonald's In Ireland That Are Re-Opening
What McDonald's drive-thrus are open in Ireland?
The six McDonald's open for drive-thru are:
- Nutgrove Shopping Centre, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14
- Kylemore Road, Dublin 12
- East Wall Road, East Wall, Dublin 3
- Artane Castle Shopping Centre, Kilmore Road, Dublin 5
- Coolock Retail Park, Malahide Road, Coolock, Dublin 17
- Belgard Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24
Each location will be open for business from 11am this morning, 20 May. However they will be operating with reduced hours and a reduced menu. In their statement last week, McDonald's UK and Ireland CEO, Paul Pomroy, detailed the steps they're taking to ensure safety, including a €30 spend limit per car and the request that customers use contactless payment whenever possible.
He also explained how the service may differ from what you were used to:
"When your local Drive Thru does reopen, it will be different. Our service will not be as quick as you might be used to, as we adjust to smaller teams and social distancing in our kitchens. We expect there will be some queues for some of our busier sites and our restaurants will look different, with Perspex screens at our Drive Thru windows and employees wearing protective equipment."
All going well, their plan is to extend the reopenings further across the country in June:
"As we get accustomed to the new processes and procedures, we will look to reopen more restaurants, for longer hours and reintroduce more menu items. But only when I am confident we can do so whilst maintaining the new procedures we have introduced for the protection of our people.
"Learning from our initial phases, these tests, we will start to return to towns and cities across the UK and Ireland and thank you for your continued support as we work through this crisis. We will continue to keep you updated via email, our website and our social media channels."
For now, those us down the country will have to wait but rest assured, McFlurrys have made the menu!
