Your Star Sign COULD Be In Doubt After NASA Discover A 13th Sign
The world of those interested in astrology was rocked yesterday when they heard the news that there was now 13 not 12 star signs following claims NASA has discovered a 13th sign.
The new star sign, known as Ophiuchus would have drastic effects on peoples current star signs. It is being suggested that anyone born between 29 November and 17 December would be an Ophiuchus, making Scorpios even rarer due to cutting their window to just 7 days.
The Proposed new Zodiac dates
Capricorn: 20 January to 15 February
Aquarius: 16 February to 11 March
Pisces: 11 March to 18 April
Aries: 18 April to 13 May
Taurus: 13 May to 21 June
Gemini: 21 June to 20 July
Cancer: 20 July to 10 August
Leo: 10 August to 16 September
Virgo: 16 September to 30 October
Libra: 30 October to 23 November
Scorpio: 23 November to 29 November
Ophiuchus: 29 November to 17 December
Sagittarius: 17 December to 20 January
NASA has not discovered a 13th star sign
For those who are not a fan of their new sign, there's no need to worry. The claims that NASA has recently discovered a new star sign and updated the Zodiac chart is false. In fact, NASA has nothing to do with the star sings.
In a post back in 2016 (which also seems to be the origin of this story) NASA claimed that astrology wasn't science saying
It's not science. No one has shown that astrology can be used to predict the future or describe what people are like based only on their birth date. Still, like reading fantasy stories, many people enjoy reading their "astrological forecast" or "horoscope" in the newspaper every day.
So what does this mean?
In that same post from 2016, NASA explains how theĀ Babylonians, who created the zodiac chart, recognised there were 13 constellations in the zodiac but picked one to leave out, Ophiuchus. Deciding to split the zodiac into 12 to fit neatly with the 12 months of the year.
This meant the modern-day zodiac signs were established thousands of years ago meaning modern-day star signs were formed with that knowledge. Thus meaning nothing has to change and you can continue to live your life as you were.
