There are two types of people in this world, those who love Zoolander and those who hate it. If you hate it, I want nothing to do with you, so just move along there please. What are you doing even reading this article? Get out of here you hataaa. Our favourite movie has some (sorta) secrets of its own, so here they are, the 6 things you didn't know about Zoolander:
1) Maury Ballstein is actually Ben Stiller's Dad.
A lot of people probably knew that anyway or made the connection that Jerry Stiller is Ben Stiller's Dad. But anyway, consider my mind blown.
2) The movie was banned in Malaysia because of a joke they made about the country.
The whole movie is about Zoolander trying the kill the Prime Minister of Malaysia, I don't think they'd be happy with that. Everywhere else in Asia the name 'Malaysia' was changed to 'Micronesia'. Bet you didn't know that...

3) Mark Ronson, the musician, appears as a DJ in the movie.
Before he was super famous with Amy Winehouse and Uptown Funking us, he was the DJ at Zoolander's model friends funerals. Pretty damn cool, no?
4) The idea of Zoolander came from a video short showed at the VH1 Fashion Awards.
You need to watch it. Like, right now.

5) The co-writer Justin Theroux plays the evil dreadlock DJ that breakdances.
AND all the break dancing he does are his own moves. A man of many, many skills, it seems.
6) It was released a week after 9/11, so the special effects team decided to edit out the Twin Towers.
It nearly pushed back the release of the movie altogether, but they decided to go ahead with it. This movie changed our lives and for that, we are utterly grateful.
