It was confirmed last year that there was a film based on Breaking Bad in the works.
Details surrounding the project are scant, however, it has been reported by The Hollywood Reporter that the film is set to star Aaron Paul, reprising his role as Jesse Pinkman.
As well as this, they confirm that the feature film will be created and written by original series creator Vince Gilligan, who, according to them, will also direct the film.
Bryan Cranston has separately confirmed in an interview with on The Dan Patrick Show that the film was in production, however, he said that he had yet to be contacted by Gilligan about appearing in it. He confirmed however that were he contacted he would 'absolutely' want to reprise his role as Walter White.
What's more, THR, stated that the film would be called 'Greenbriar', and would be produced in conjunction with Netflix and AMC. This means that distribution of the film, co-created with Sony TV, would air across both AMC and on Netflix.

While there are no reports as to when it is set to be released, some pre-production work for the film is already under way. So it hopefully won't be too long before we're able to see it, in whatever form it takes.
