Although we've all thought it, it's not every day such a conundrum is said out loud on the show and when it is it makes for comedy gold.
A recent Countdown contestant, Luke from Ireland, was in a pickle during the conundrum section of the show. Sharing the event on Twitter, Luke said "the day I got my ass handed to me by a Countdown champion... (I) didn't go down without a fight". The contestant shared his answer on Instagram and it's the last thing you'd expect:

Luke, realizing he'd lost, decided to use the term 'PENISHAM' as his answer which was quickly brushed off by the presenter of the show Nick Hewer. Twitter couldn't help but virtually clap Luke on the back for his attempts on the show:
