VIDEO: This Visually Stunning Irish Student Film Takes A Seriously Unexpected Turn

There is so much young talent sprouting up in Ireland and this Dathanna student film definitely proves it. The short documentary which was filmed and edited by DIT students John Christopher and Karl Caulfield, tells the story of Mary Duffy, a painter who uses colour to express herself.

She shows people there are no limitations to what can be achieved when you set your mind to it. The short documentary is only a minute long and our only complaint is that we wish it was longer, because it's visually stunning.

'They really didn't think I could do very much, but painting was something obvious.' Through her grit and determination Mary has achieved what a lot of us would think impossible. She's a seriously admirable lady who's as interesting as she is talented.

Props to the lads for making such a great film, no doubt we'll be hearing from them in the future.
