The Derry Girls and the wee English fella became our weekly obsessions back in January and February. During some of the worst Irish weather in recent times - we're looking at you snowmageddon - the Derry gang kept our spirits high and the laughs rolling.
Now, Hat Trick, have compiled a tribute to our favourite character's best bits to tide us over till season two lands early next year. The passive aggressiveness between Michelle, played by Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, and the James, the wee English lad played by Dylan Llewellyn, was one of the highlights of the show.
Michelle's tribute includes some of the best lines from the first season including her take on the famine: “We got the gist. They ran out of spuds, everyone was raging.”
Not only is Michelle's tribute video the perfect antidote for the Monday blues, Orla, the weirdest and most likable member of the gang, and Grandpa Joe have their own videos too. Grandpa Joe's constant dismissal of Da Tommy Tiernan was a tribute to family life we can all relate to.
